I was so impressed with the physical therapists asking them if they worked outside of rehab because I wanted to continue that great care when I was in outpatient therapy. Nursing also had many staff that I can’t name all. While I didn’t specifically mention my physical therapist were all wonderful but I am having a difficulty remembering all the names. It was individualized by the registered dietician taking in account my request no no added sugar packed in water. Finally the food I felt like I was in a 4 star resort. Dr Therese was wonderful and came back to see me whenever my spirits were flagging. The psychologist helped me deal with situation at hand. Safety of residents came first and being in during the holidays the music provided by staff and chorale lifted my spirits. The concierge and activities were the best. Testing of residents and staff me feel safe. I was more afraid of others visiting me more likely to catch Covid from those outside. Their protocol in the age of Covid protected my safety. The staff kept up as best they could and I would take many of the nurses home with me if I could. It is hard for nursing given the shortage of nursing personnel. If I had concerns the supervisor was very accessible. My experience with nursing was compassionate care and approachability. My OT Sue was wonderful helping my husband feel comfortable with car transfers which helped reduce my spouse’s anxiety about caring for me safely. My occupational therapy helped with transfers and ability to care for myself with dressing. I could work maximally at each session due to reduced fatigue. They rescheduled my physical therapy and occupational therapy sessions so that I wasn’t overly fatigued. They helped me build my endurance and very thoughtfully adjusted therapy as required. The physical therapy worked on mobility building my endurance and they were limited by a status of Non weight bearing on My operative leg. I began several sessions a day that Monday. I was admitted on a Friday night and I had evaluations by both physical therapy and occupational therapy. Many facilities offer rehab services 6 days of rehabilitation this facility has 7 days a week of service. This facility lived up to my high expectations. I am a retired registered nurse and have knowledge of rehabilitation as a home care nurse as well as an RN who worked in hospitals. I chose Meridian at Wall as it is a CARF, which is an accredited rehab facility.
